DISCPLINE, HUMILIATION and CHATIZEMENT.

Since the girls we are talking about are still very young and not fully under their own cotrol, they are not yet fully wayward. However they are showing signs of waywardness that must be dealt with. The things I have mentioned before, such as Education and Dress adjust the person. There is another side to this that many persons do not like to talk about. That is making these girls act properly. That pertains the the milleu that we create and require. The answer to the proud Little Girl's "You cannot make me!" Not only the answer, but the prevention. Wheras things like Dress and Occupation are directed to the person, milleu is directed to the place, setting and "atmosphere", and those sorts of things. To address these we use DISCIPLINE, HUMLIATION and CHASTIZEMENT as the predominent modes of dealing with our little charges

DISCIPLINE
Discipline means treating the girl in a mildly umpleasant way to enforce a set of things that are important in her life. Usually this has to do with rules that are to be obeyed to make real the milleu that we want. In general the milleu that we wish is one in which the girl knows she is in need of being told what to do and made to do it and that it is an unpleasant thing. This is to get her out of herself and focus here attention on the things around her in the form of the persons who run things and can do things to her

This is usually in the form of sanctions for things like not going to bed at the appropriate time, not doing as she is told or things like that. Part of Discipline is that we have many rules that are made to make her likfe moderately difficult but if obeyed will make her a proper young lady.

Discipline is an ongoing thing that is always present in her life. The unpleasant aspects are always there to serve as a reminder of her status and that a violation of the rules will make it worse. Discipline comes in two forms

Physical, unpleasant things that she is made to feel on her body
spiritual, things that she is made to feel inside

HUMILIATION
Humiliation is the kind of unpleasant thing that makes the girl embarrasses or feel demeaned. It is the kind of thing that is done to her over a period of time. For example being made to wear a skirt that is approriate for the previous age like being 9 and put in a two-thirds to the knee skirt. This is done for two reasons

To amuse one or more of the grownups, thus showing the girl her place in the world
For a violation of the rules that we wish to make her regret for more than a few minutes. The equivalent of being confined to the room for a week after supper but something embarrasing like being made to spend the evening in her nightclotes in front of the rest of us and visitors

There are 3 kinds of Humiliation

Physical, made to feel something on the body that is demeaning in front of others
Beihavoiral, made to do something demeaning or act in a demeaning way in front of others.
Spiritual, made to feel deameaned about oneself as a person or stripped of one's dignity or rightful place in front of others.

Humiliation is also more than just the thing done to the girl, it is the teasing ant things that are done on the side such as being shunned by the other girls.

CHASTIZEMENT
Chastizement is the kind of unpleasnt thing that done to one, such as binding or bed confinement immediately after suppoer and usually involves physical contact. In the case of the latter, the girl is picked up, takien to her room, undressed, diapered and put to bed and checked on

It is different from punishment in that punishment is aimed at the misbehavior. Chastizement is aimed at the person. Punishment says "This is bad and we do not want you to do this" Chastizement, which comes forme "Chastened" which menas to deal with a wrong that is part of a person says "You are a bad person and what you have done is the kind of thing done by a bad person. And you need unpleasantness to make that bad part of you go away" Like Disciplne and Humiliation, Chastizement is of two forms

Physical. What she is made to feel on her body. Since we do not hit or spank, we have to be very creative
Spiritual. Things like having to live as a baby, the half-way to the knee skirt, having to be fed and being in wet diapers. While humliationg as well it is also uncomfortable for one thing the overly short skirt affects hwo she feels about her chastity area and when she is changed it is done quite forcefully

These three things combine to enforce obedience and femininity and combat being proud and other things that lead to waywardness.
