This is best done by making her learn things. writing, drawing, reading and reciting. Not only does it take her mind from herself, but it also givew her skills and information that are useful and make her useful

Much of what we tach her pertains to her nature as a girl, That in herself is quite a handful as it includes caring for babies, how to carry and comport herself and the way to dress herself in a comely fashion without being trollopy Education works with the other things to make her realize that the world does not begin and end with her.

We begin at age four with the simplest kinds of things like coloring and other simple tasks. Since this is done under the supervision of a grownup who has control of the area, The girl who is becoming wayward can be chastized or punished by the person who is in control of the activity

Thw whole serves to make the budding wayward girl busy learing and subject to the will of others, thus getting her attention off herself.

For the girl heading toward waywardness, this is absolutely the most humiliationg form of treatnemt. It says that the things she loves are of no value and the things she despises are of value. It invites her to change her feelings and chasitzes these feelings that she holds dear. To see such a girl, especially if she has an irritation way about her, in such distress is glorious.
